Over the last number of years Crane Hire Limited has been steadfastly augmenting its credentials and experience in operating in high hazard sectors. We have developed Standard operating Procedures (SOP's) for our site personnel and are well positioned to deliver support into the nuclear decommissioning and new build sectors. Recent internal and external audits by NSAI, coupled with enviable safety awareness demonstrate that Crane Hire Limited’s investment in our people is what sets us apart. Crane Hire Limited employees have the confidence and capability to deliver the delta necessary to offer best in class service to meet the clients' needs in a highly demanding environment. We are also currently setting up a CPCS training centre for Appointed Persons (AP's) at our depot in Ballyfermot. Most importantly our integrated Management System demonstrably links our governance to the services that we provide.

Our Mission

The development and sustainability of a health, safety and environmental culture is a top goal for CHL and is everyone’s responsibility. CHL has a proactive approach, led by the Board of Directors and it demands everyone to demonstrate total commitment to safety without compromise. The Safety Director liaises regularly with all board members to ensure they are fully briefed. CHL have a Safety Committee chaired by a Board Director who is directly accountable to the MD for ensuring that the right policies are in place and that these are understood and cascaded down through the organisation.

The management systems for H&S, Environment and Quality are documented, structured and certified to recognised standards OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 with an electronically accessed Integrated Management System. Risk management controls are in the form of documented method statements and risk assessments. These are reinforced through a programme of briefings and toolbox talks conducted by the H&S team. Standard Operating and Emergency Operating Procedures have been developed to ensure absolute clarity in relation to every individual’s responsibilities towards Health, Safety, Quality and Environment. These are supported by a comprehensive Staff Handbook.
